GEORGE A. SARKODIE
Founder & Team Lead
George A. Sarkodie is the Co-Founder and Team Lead of MeetMentors, where he provides leadership, strategic direction, and program development. With a strong passion for education, leadership development, and mentoring, he has guided emerging leaders and organizations across three continents.
At the University of British Columbia, he served as a Graduate Student Mentor under the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program (MCFSP) for African students. He has also consulted for the Commonwealth of Learning and held roles with Northern Lights College in British Columbia and the Council for Lifelong Learning in Alberta, Canada.
Beyond his professional career, George serves as Executive Pastor at Victory Church Grande Prairie, Alberta. He holds a BA (Hons.) in Sociology from the University of Ghana, an MSc in International Development from Aarhus University in Denmark, and an M.Ed. in Adult Learning & Education from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. An Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), UK, George is also a published author and trainer, speaking to hundreds each year on leadership, growth, and purpose.​​
DR. ROGER PHILIP AIDOO
Co-Founder
Dr. Roger Philip Aidoo is a seasoned food scientist with expertise in product formulation, food analysis, and process development. He holds a Master’s in Food Technology and a Ph.D. in Applied Biological Sciences. In his role as R&D Manager at BAYN, Dr. Aidoo has over the years focused on developing healthier food alternatives and translating scientific research into industrial solutions, contributing meaningfully to the food technology landscape.

He has co-authored several studies on sucrose replacement in chocolate using alternative sweeteners and carbohydrate polymers. In addition to his research, Dr. Aidoo offers guidance and shares his wealth of knowledge with aspiring professionals through programs like MeetMentors. He is married to Mrs. Rebecca Aidoo, and together they have three children. Both are passionate about youth development and actively serve in various leadership and mentorship roles.​
ANGELA ANIMAH-KORANG (PhD, MPH)
Communications Advisor
Angela Anima-Korang, PhD, MPH is a Communication professional and Health Educator with a research focus on communication strategies, health interventions, and technology. Her work centers on improving health outcomes for underserved populations, particularly in rural communities.
As Communications Advisor for MeetMentors Inc., Angela brings expertise in strategic communication, health education, and mentoring to support emerging leaders worldwide. In this role, she focuses on designing organizational and instructional messaging, building visibility, and fostering meaningful connections between mentors and mentees from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Angela describes herself as an ever-curious student. Her interdisciplinary background gives her a unique perspective on mentoring, higher education, and leadership. She holds a BSc in Computer Science, an MS in Mass Communication, an MPH in Health Education, and a PhD in Mass Communication and Media Arts from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She also holds certifications from the CDC in Health Literacy for Public Health Professionals and Applied Business Analytics from MIT Sloan Executive Education. Currently, she serves as Associate Professor and Program Director for the Master of Arts in Strategic Communication program at East Texas Baptist University.

TINA SARKODIE
Operations Advisor
Tina is social and loves to connect the missing dots! She makes sure the pieces are all put together, the ‘t’ has been crossed, and the ‘i’ has its dot!! She makes MeetMentors gets running. Tina has a BSc in Public Health and Allied Sciences and Diploma in Registered General Nursing. Her specialization is in health education. She loves to talk, teach and mentor!
Tina translates her experience in nursing, public health education, and non-profit leadership into touching lives in this mentoring program. She brings her cross-cultural understanding of people and learning, into responding to the need of developing the next generation of leaders through mentoring.​

MICHAEL SELORM AVUMEGAH
Programs Advisor
Selorm, loves to describe himself as a community thinker. He is passionate about the youth and has over 15 years of experience in youth mentorship and training program design across Africa, Europe and Australia. ​Selorm is a trained Peer counsellor and educator, a training he has put to good use in Africa and elsewhere. He has deep sense and appreciation for diversity and has worked with different organisations and culturally diverse groups around the globe.
Selorm is also a molecular microbiologist with keen interest in neglected tropical diseases. He holds a Ph.D in infectious disease from Deakin University, Australia. His expertise spans bacteria and viruses. He also has experience in epidemiology and the “One Health” approach to disease surveillance. Selorm brings his passion in mentoring and professional skills to support the programming initiatives at MeetMentors.

DESMOND K. BOATENG
Programs & Community Coordinator
Desmond Boateng is a final year student at the University of Ghana, majoring in Mathematics. Desmond has good interpersonal and communication skills, and is great at planning and organizing events, strategizing for publicity, and forming new connections. He has interests in mentoring, mathematics, writing, digital marketing, and space explorations.
Desmond is the current Vice President of The Mathematics Society of the University of Ghana. Before that, he served as a member of the Solution Space Committee and also the Publicity Committee Head and also participated in the UG @70 Mathematics Quiz. Desmond has interned as Portfolio Optimization Clerk at St UT Holdings, Ghana, in 2017. He is a Google Foundation of Digital Marketing Certified and Hubspot Inbound Marketing Certified.​

ANNA NAAMI
Regional Coordinator
Anna Naami is a youth empowerment advocate dedicated to creating ecosystems where young people thrive. With a background in International Development and Business Administration, her work with organizations like Ashesi University, Camfed Ghana and the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is marked by designing innovative learning experiences and mentoring emerging leaders.
As Regional Coordinator at MeetMentors, she orchestrates mentor-mentee connections, combining strategic leadership with empathy to build robust support networks. Driven by the belief that with the right guidance, every young person can achieve their dreams, she focuses on unlocking academic, career, and leadership potential.​​​
